Some of the basic functions VNA performs include:

  • Handle all contract development including pricing, proposal, and negotiations.
  • Lead the contract implementation effort to insure consistency and utilization of best practices
  • Build customer item catalogs and set up web storefront to meet the demands of the central purchasing buyer
  • Enable access to e-procurement systems
  • Receive orders via EDI, XML, flat file, email, http, etc. Normalize into a common format and route to the appropriate APR distributor
  • Collect shipment and invoice data for building high quality performance/usage reporting
  • Web-based customer self-service reporting

In addition to the above functions, VNA also provides its members with a host of data management and IT services. VNA is also playing an active role in distributor and end user training, and building strong manufacturer relations within the electrical industry.
