Variable Frequency Drive Harmonic Analysis

Drives create “noise” on power systems (non-linear distortion) on power wave forms, which are sine curves operating at a certain frequency, typically 60 Hertz. Distortion of this electrical curve can create erratic operation, excessive heating, and possible shutdown of other electronic control systems and equipment like computers and PLCs. Excessive heat can damage transformers and power distribution systems (circuit breakers, switches, and conductors). Our analysis determines if you are going to have harmonic problems and the best solution that could include line reactors, filter cabinets, or 18 pulse drives.
